I was one of the very first guests to stay at Ely's Reach BnB located on Texada Island on the beautiful sunshine coast in British Columbia, Canada.
While my time at the BnB was before much of the work on site has finished, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to explore Ely's Reach and the surrounding area. Located right in Van Anda on the island the BnB is really well situated with fast access to all the best the island has to offer.
I was genuinely impressed with the suite, I stayed in the House of Black and White, and had an amazing sleep in the plush king sixed bed. The room is well appointed with coffee maker, bar fridge, and comfortable lounge and guest dining area. The room was bright, comfortable, and the quiet at night was a welcome respite for this resident of Downtown Vancouver.
Jayleen, the proprietor, was not only welcoming but provided the exact right amount of assistance when requested. When left to my own devices I was able to wander the property, explore the surrounding area and generally just relax and unwind.
While I stayed there the property was still under construction as the impressive outdoor kitchen and spa area are being built. A large, stunning, river table will accommodate up to 10 easily and will provide an outstanding outdoor gathering space for guests. If my experience being an early guest, even before all the vast work being done is complete, I am very excited to return and experience the full Ely's experience.
I will definitely be returning! I have already booked time in April 2023 to hold my 50th birthday there and look forward to creating many new memories over the years to come. If you are looking for a wonderful BC Coast experience, I strongly encourage you to put Ely's Reach on the shortlist for accommodation!
